Can the bluetooth Module transmit data over long distances?

Bluetooth modules have a limited range compared to other long-range wireless technologies. The typical range of a Bluetooth module is around 10 meters (30 feet) in most cases. However, the range can vary depending on the specific Bluetooth version, the power class of the module, and the environmental conditions.

Bluetooth Class 1 modules have the longest range, capable of reaching up to 100 meters (300 feet) in open space. These modules are typically used in applications where extended range is required, such as audio streaming devices or industrial applications.

For longer-range applications, other wireless technologies like Wi-Fi, Zigbee, or LoRaWAN are more suitable. These technologies offer significantly greater range and are designed specifically for long-range communication.

It's important to consider the range requirements of your specific application when choosing a wireless technology. If you need long-range communication, Bluetooth may not be the best choice. However, if your application requires short-range communication within a limited distance, Bluetooth modules are a reliable and widely adopted solution.
